Tour Plan

Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel, residence or Nairobi airport. Hop into the 4 x 4 Jeep for your journey to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular wildlife park.
Watch the dawn break over the fields from the comfort of your safari vehicle. We’ll make a stop at the town of Narok for breakfast
As we continue to the Mara, you’ll see local homesteads and perhaps Maasai herdsmen in their colorful wraps, tending to their cattle. We should arrive at the park at approximately 10:30 hrs.
The day is yours for unlimited game drives, lunch, relaxation or whatever you choose.
The park is well-known for its immense parade of wildlife and during the migration season (July – September), an unending stream of wildebeest and zebra.
We’ll be looking for lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant, plus the more than 95 other mammals that inhabit this massive habitat.
We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at the Mara River, site of the animal crossing during the migration. Here, crocodile lie in wait for the arriving hordes of wildlife, along with lion, cheetah and other hunters.
The Mara is alive with nature’s drama so this will be a very active day.
We’ll spend the night in the Mara at your choice of safari lodge or tented campground.

We’ll be up early to view the park’s abundant wildlife, said to the densest of any park in the region. This will be a day of unlimited game drives over the golden fields and past the distinctive acacia trees adorning these plains.
Be on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The birdlife is also abundant, and should you be here during the season of the Great Migration (July – October), prepare yourself to witness the largest movement of animals on the planet.
Primarily made up of wildebeest and zebra, the migrating animals cross into the park by the thousands at the Mara River, also the site of hippos and waiting crocodiles. The potential drama here is inescapable as the streaming herds enter these lands for fresh grasses as the predators lie in wait.
Adding more richness to your Masai Mara experience, you can enjoy an optional visit to one of the local villages. There, you’ll meet the Maasai and see their lifestyle up close.
Another optional event is an early morning hot air balloon ride over the reserve. Take in the park below coming to life as the fields light up and the wildlife begin a new day on the savannah. A magnificent experience – just ask your driver/guide to set up either or both activities.
We’ll spend our second night in the park at your choice of accommodation.

Our last safari day – let’s make the most of it with an early rise and game drive. By now you should be checking off your list of animal sightings but there’s always time for more.
You’re sure to have seen zebra and gazelle but keep an eye out for cheetah moving through the bush, plus jackal and hyena.
We’ll enjoy one last game drive as we exit the park on our way back to Nairobi.
A stop for lunch will break up the drive back to town.
We should arrive back in Nairobi in the late afternoon and will bring you to your hotel, residence or the airport.
